About the Cape Elizabeth Democratic Committee.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughful citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." ~ Margaret Mead
The Cape Elizabeth Democratic Town Committee represents the over 2600 registered Democrats in the Cape. All Democrats are eligible to be members of the Town Committee. Officers are chosen at the biannual February caucus.
Our priorities are the election of our Democratic candidates, citizen education on key public policy issues, help our state and national leaders formulate governing policy that serves all citizens and to build the Party’s capacity. Task forces and committees pursue meaningful projects towards these goals and include groups on press relations, voter outreach, special events and get-out-the-vote for Election Day. Through our website we endeavor to provide creative ways to take action. The work is challenging but always invigorating.
Citizens from all parts of the Cape and of all ages are working together for fair and meaningful public policy. Please get involved by volunteering and/or contributing to our work. We coordinate our work with the Maine and national Democratic Parties. We are part of a national movement of millions of citizens dedicated to a vibrant democracy and enlightened and responsible government. Every person’s effort and every vote make a difference.
We look forward to your guidance and seeing you at one of our meetings or events.
Thank you,
